We again will be open to the public to sight-in their deer hunting firearms. There are some significant changes to how we will do Sight-In this year. Starting September 23rd and continuing through November 16th we will be open to the public for sight-in on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm or sunset. The cost is $20.00 per person with a two (2) gun limit, please leave them in their case and bring them and the ammo to the Rifle Shack. We supply TARGETS at distances out to 200 yards, SPOTTING SCOPES and HELP if you need it. Please note - we get busy on the last few days so this is not a chance to do some plinking we want everyone to get zeroed in and let the next guy in. And by the way if you need a scope bore-sighted we can do that for a small fee.
Members -- The R2 range will be reserved for Deer Rifle Sight-In during those days
Effective immediately -- Beaverbrook Sportsmen's Club has banned the use, including carry, of the Sig Sauer P320, M17 and M18 pistols on club property. This ban will be in place until announced otherwise on this website.
Starting September 2nd -- the club will be open for trap and skeet shooting starting at 3:00pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This starting time may change so please check the website calendar before coming out.
Shooters -- the use of the steel target frames on ranges W1 through S4 was discussed as a possible danger to shooters. The decision was made to have them removed and used on the R1 to R3 ranges where there is no risk to injury. What this means to those of us using W1 through S4 is that you will need to bring our own target frames. These frames must be made of wood or permeable plastic. The club will try to have some wood frames available to use but this is NOT guaranteed! If we have any frames the club will require a $5.00 deposit on the use of club frames. The deposit will be returned if the frame is undamaged, otherwise it will be forfeited.
Starting June 22nd there will be an RSOs on duty Sundays from 11:00am to 5:00pm and Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 1:00pm to sunset. Members are still required to sign-in and out in the range building just as before -- this is very important. We're not trying to sound mean but -- Members found on the ranges without signing in first will face consequences.
Starting June 22nd through September 30th, the club will open our ranges for Rifle and Pistol shooting to the public on --- Sundays from 11:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 1:00pm to sunset. To monitor traffic the gate will be closed! Click here to see the current gate code and information on how to gain access to the range. Be forewarned, we will give some notice, but the gate code could change any time!!!
The club is hosting its 4th Annual Fall Classic ATA Trap Shoot, September 20th & 21st. For information see the flyer here!
We have compiled a list of tasks that the club needs help with. Take a look here to see if you are interested.
The Range Expansion Committee is looking for suggestions on future projects. We are looking for ideas of things you would like to see the club invest in to benefit the members. Some of the things we are discussing are a 'Five Stand', '3D Archery', 'New Clubhouse with Indoor Archery / Air Gun Range' I think you get the idea. To give us your wish list please use the 'Contact Us' page and select the 'Expansion Ideas' subject. Thanks for your input!
